Introducing two new basket patterns
This week I will be teaching at Woven Together in Western Kentucky Retreat. It is a great basket weaving retreat in a beautiful location. I will also be teaching two of my newest baskets, Whispers and Wrapped Up; which means I am also releasing the patterns.
Whispers
This little urn shaped basket is reminiscent of southwestern Native American pottery. This basket starts on a wood base and features triple twining, step-ups, braid weave and decrease rows. Basket dimensions: 5 ½ ” diameter x 5” H Weaving Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Wrapped Up
A revisit to the market basket. Starting with a woven filled base, the basket is woven with round reed, Hamburg cane and seagrass, this basket is a great technique basket. It features a filled base, a 4 rod locking row, lots of opportunities to practice twining and triple twining, complete with step ups, and a great way to hide all the weaver ends. The focal of the basket is the eye catching wrap, another great technique! Basket dimensions: 11” x 6” x 4” H (7” H with handle) Weaving Level: Intermediate

And now I better pack my vehicle!!
