Weave the World!
August 4-7, 2016 the Missouri Basketweavers Guild hosted their 25th convention, Weave the World, in St Louis, Missouri. Co-chairs Leanne Nielsen and Edeltraud Romvai had all kinds of fun planned for the weekend, from the teacher and vendor reception featuring an international smorgasbord to passports and basket bingo.
Leanne, Edie and their team of chairs and volunteers did a wonderful job. We all benefited from their hard work and attention to detail. Silently remembering other times of peace.
A walk by the lake, perhaps, a sunrise, a fall afternoon weaving on the porch.
And though it is silent,
The message is heard,
Qoph is more than just a winning word.
And we wove Arisaema – 64 spokes and a full morning of twining!
Afternoon came, the sides went up and the natural embellishments came out
And then we wove with paper,
